Conflict Minerals Policy

MDC fully supports the goals and objectives of Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Stree Reform and Consumer Protection Act finalized by the SEC on August 22,2012, which aims to prevent the use of certain "Conflict Minerals" that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in The Democractic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries (as defined in the Act). "Conflic Minerals" include: columbite-tantalite (i.e. tantalum), cassiterite (i.e. tin), god, wolframite (i.e. tungsten) and their derivatives. This list could expand to include other minerals and their derivatives, as determined by the U.S. Secretary of State.

MDC conducts inquiries into the source of any Comnflict Minerals included in its products. Elements of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition Due Diligence reporting process have been adopted. Suppliers are required to acknowledge MDC's Conflict Mineral Policy, the PO temrs and condistions, and provide compliance statement when / if they provide any conflict minerals. Suppliers are also responsible for passing the same requirements on to their suppliers. This process ensures transparency and corporate social responsibility throughout the supply chain.

MDC will evaluate its relationships with its suppliers on an ongoing basis to ensure continued compliance with this policy. Suppliers who do not comply with these requiremetns shall be reviewed by MDC's Supply Chain organization for future business.
